Music Programs
Both the Old and New Testaments contain many references to the use of music, both vocal and instrumental, as a means of praising God. Many of the writings in the book of Psalms were originally set to music and used as a hymnbook of praise. The Apostle Paul exhorted Christians to “sing Psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts” (Colossians 3:16, NLB).
At St. Paul, we emphasize the ministry of music, using it both as a means to enhance worship and a way to lead our people to a closer spiritual encounter with God and the risen Christ.
